Chrysalis II

Glass Chrysalis is a triennial exhibition which celebrates exceptional promise in the work of early career Australian glass artists.

Artwork selection involved a broad canvassing of recent graduates of art school and studio glass residency programs. The six representatives; Jordan Benson, Madeline Cardone, Calum Donaldson, Hamish Donaldson, Carman Skeehan and Isobel Waters each demonstrate an uncommon commitment to practice, innovation of form and exquisite technical prowess. Their unique approaches draw from giants of the art glass movement.

Co-curated by Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Canberra Glassworks and The JamFactory, Glass Chrysalis seeks to elevate individual artist practices, and in doing so provide a window into the wider field and direction of contemporary Australian studio glass.
