5 Week Beginners Stained Glass Leadlighting Course, starting the 25th of October

Have you ever been curious on how to make a Stained Glass panel? Come and join us for a 5-week leadlighting course using traditional methods used for over 1000 years

The course will run from 1-4pm on Sunday the 25th of October, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd of November

We are located in Heidelberg West, full details will be emailed out prior to the workshop

We will provide all of the materials, tools, PPE and designs for the duration of the workshops

We have a number of designs to choose from that are perfect for beginners, we can organize custom designs, but they need to fit the parameters of the course

You will be taught by Jordan Benson who is a Melbourne based artist specializing in contemporary stained glass

Over this 5 week course you will learn

• Safety Requirements

• Cut glass to a design

• Grind Glass to fit design

• Cut Lead to correct angles and size

• Assemble your Glass Panel

• Solder the lead connection points

• Putty your panel to make it waterproof

• Polish our panel for a nice dark shine

Please keep in mind

Lead can be hazardous, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend you don't take the course.

There is a minimum of 3 people required to run the course.

Knowledge required

very basic coordination

What to bring

• Clothes that you are willing to get dirty

• Closed Shoes

• Long pants and tops with sleeves

• Hair tie if you have long hair

This class series runs over 5 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week
